Pride Toronto

Caribanna

Caribana

The largest Caribbean festival in North America, the Toronto Caribbean Carnival (Caribana), celebrates its 43rd anniversary in 2010. The three-week festival attracts over a million participants. Among the highlights is the prade, one of the largest in North America with thousands of brilliantly costumed masqueraders and dozens of floats carrying live soca, calypso, steel pan, reggae and salsa artists jam the parade route all day. 2010: July 14 - August 2.

 

Rogers Cup

Rogers Cup Tennis

Only Wimbledon and the U.S. Open have longer histories than this Canadian tour stop, which is recognized to be one of the best-run tournaments on the Tour. Classified as a Masters 1000 event on the ATP World Tour tournament calendar, Rogers Cup offers US $3 million in prize money and attracts the biggest stars of men's tennis year after year. 2010: August 7 - August 15.

The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is an 18-day fair. In recent years, the exhibition has included a keynote address by President Bill Clinton, an international friendly soccer match between Portugal's Benfica SL and Scotland's Celtic, and aerial acrobatic and ice skating shows with skating star Elvis Stojko. 2010: August 20 - September 6.

Since its inception in 1922, The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair has become the world's largest indoor agricultural and international equestrian competition. The annual winter fair draws more than 300,000 visitors to Toronto annually to see thousands of unique entries from elite Canadian and International breeders, growers and exhibitors. 2010: November 5 - November 14.
